So Uniqlo has >800 stores worldwide (and still planning to open more) and Etude House plans to open up more stores (especially with the SEA countries), probably a double digit number and CK plans to open up more stores AND gain 30% more revenue from Singapore (the other 70% from China).
So my point is...
JUST HOW MANY STORES,
and not just stores but THE SAME STORES, DO YOU WANT TO OPEN IN SINGAPORE?
We have freaking F21 at Wisma Atria, then further down at 313, and then a few stops away at Vivo. We have freaking Topshop/Topman at Ion, slightly further away at Isetan Orchard, down the road at Suntec City, then at Bugis, Marina Square, Raffles City, Tampines and Vivo. We have freaking Zara at Ion, then further down at Ngee Ann City (Takashimaya), then further down at 313, Marina Square, Liat Towers, and Great World City.
Do they want to keep building until we have these shops right at our doorsteps? Then there wouldn't be a point to go to town anymore. There wouldn't be a point to dress up anymore.
There wouldn't, get this, be a point to go shopping anymore. At this rate, all the free space would be used to build malls to fill the useless malls with even more useless shops we can find at a location nearer to us. These idiots would probably start crossing out parks and playgrounds as part of architecture and use that new found space to build more concrete jungle.
And then when we run out oxygen they'll start pointing fingers. But by then, it will be too late. I wouldn't even be able to laugh at that time. Nobody would, because there would be no air. -_-
Argh, so basically, my point is to rant out this ludicrous mindset iof the whole vainglorious world has. My goodness, there's a Miu Miu outlet at Ion, AND another one at Paragon. There's a Louis Vuitton outlet at Ion AND another one at Taka. Such close proximities, WHY. It's not like it would kill people to walk such short distances. You could freaking use this space for other designer labels to open up in Singapore instead of leaving us to the only option of SHIPPING. -_-
The world is becoming more blind, more full with self-conceit, more egoistical, more self-centered. But yeah, what the hell right. The world is just doomed. The world is on its one-way road to hell.
