Well, I have to admit. I was slightly shocked at FOB's temporary split. As much as they say it's only temporary, I'm leaning on the side that it's for real. Where can you go when you've reach the top? There's only one way, and that's down.
We don't want our favourite bands to go down, yet we don't want them to split/die away/disappear/IDK wth/something. And the media doesn't tell you everything, they don't tell you the truth. They tell you what they want you to believe.
From what I see, FOB took the 'temporary' (more of a forever) break to immortalise themselves, just as Michael Jorden did. He left at the peak of his title, and until today, he's the undefeatable (if there's such a word). It was actually a very smart move.
Look, they worked their asses off for Folie à Deux after finishing Infinity On High. Sure, they say they're 'burned out', I think they're just working to leave a deeper impression on people and to be known as 'one of the best boybands of the 21st century' blahblahblah...
But I don't know. I'm still pretty sad that there won't be anymore Fall Out Boy for a very long time. But I think it's gonna be a hell load of shit to do to beat a fantastic album like Folie à Deux.
